Description
We are looking for an Off-Page SEO Team Lead to own and scale our authority-building and link acquisition strategy across multiple brands and domains. In this role, you will lead a team of off-page SEO specialists, define the strategic direction, ensure high-quality execution, and partner closely with content, product, and marketing teams to drive sustainable organic growth.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Lead the off-page SEO function
    • Own the overall off-page SEO roadmap and strategy across multiple domains.
    • Set objectives, KPIs, and quality standards for link-building and authority growth.
    • Prioritize initiatives based on impact, risk, and business goals.
  • Manage and develop the team
    • Lead, mentor, and coach off-page SEO specialists.
    • Review campaigns and deliverables, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
    • Build scalable processes, documentation, and best practices for the team.
  • Design and execute off-page strategies
    • Design comprehensive off-page SEO strategies for multiple brands and markets.
    • Run and oversee creative, sustainable link-building campaigns (PR, guest posting, microsites, digital partnerships).
    • Implement tiered link-building architectures to strengthen core digital assets.
  • Own analysis, risk management & performance
    • Analyze competitors’ backlink profiles to identify opportunities and threats.
    • Monitor and respond to Google algorithm updates, penalties, and spam-related risks.
    • Diagnose causes of ranking or organic traffic drops and coordinate response plans.
    • Track and report performance using industry-standard tools, turning data into clear recommendations.
  • Cross-functional collaboration
    • Partner with the content team to define and prioritize Linkable Assets.
    • Collaborate with PR, brand, and marketing teams for campaign alignment.
    • Manage relationships with webmasters, bloggers, publishers, and media partners.
  • Innovation & continuous improvement
    • Experiment with new link-building methods in competitive and saturated niches.
    • Evaluate and adopt new SEO tools and workflows that improve team efficiency.
    • Conduct and share case studies on competitors and global trends with stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
Technical Competencies
  • Extensive experience in off-page SEO and link-building as a primary area of expertise.
  • Proven track record designing and executing comprehensive off-page SEO strategies.
  • Strong expertise in: 
    • Link-building campaigns (PR outreach, guest posting, partnerships, microsites).
    • Competitor backlink analysis and opportunity mapping.
    • Tiered link-building techniques and authority-building frameworks.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard SEO and analytics tools (e.g. for backlink analysis, monitoring, and reporting).
  • Experience working across multiple brands, domains, or markets.
  • Ability to translate complex SEO insights into clear, actionable guidance for non-SEO stakeholders.

Preferred Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in SEO, with a strong focus on off-page SEO.
  • 1–3+ years of experience leading or mentoring a team (formal or informal leadership).
  • Experience running digital PR and content-led link-building campaigns.
  • Familiarity with international SEO or multi-language/multi-region domains.
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.
  • Background in content strategy, growth marketing, or performance marketing.
